Don’t Forget to Breathe
I try to give very little direction during my shoots. I like to let the people I work with live within a real environment. To capture what they are feeling and experiencing at that very moment. I’ve come to realize that what I do isn’t something that can always be directed or posed. It just happens as I’m present to shoot it. It can be happy and light, heavy with emotion and feelings. It doesn’t matter. It is a real moment that can be empowering or sexy or intimate or vulnerable or happy or sad. It isn’t for husbands, wives, girlfriends or boyfriends. Nor is it for attention. We all want to be seen for who we really are. If we can let our guard down. It is an honest, real and open moment where we turn off our heads and just feel…
It is my job to make sure you look your absolute best and to feel comfortable in your skin. With that being said, I will help you with your posing from the way you point your feet and toes to a relaxed and natural look for your hands (no lobster claws). The process of creating shouldn’t feel or appear to be forced; you should and deserve to be seen for who and what you are.
